I’ve known Ashley since WAY back in jr. high! We reconnected after high school years ago and did a fashion shoot together as she was going into modeling. She was one of the first people I photographed when I first started getting serious about photography; so when I found out she was getting married I was secretly hoping she would ask me haha! I am so honored to be a part of these two’s lovely day. Josh is such a sweetheart and anyone could see plain-as-day how humbly, down-to-earth, madly in love they are with each other. The perfect pair.. and with this perfect pair came another perfect person in the mix! They recently had their sweet and smiley baby girl, Annabell, who of course was a huge part of the day (and adorably so!). After their intimate ceremony, extended friends and family got together for the rest of the evening for BBQ and cake (aka the perfect Texas wedding haha!) 🙂
Ashley and Josh got married on May 15, 2015 at a family member’s house in La, Grange. There was deer, beautiful land for days, a tiny cottage, a rustic house, it was simply perfect. Sometimes I can’t explain the feelings that I get at wedding, but the day felt nostalgic, comfortable, homey, and all-together incredibly intimate. Of course with every wedding, no matter how big or small, where the location is, NO MATTER WHAT – something always goes a little bit differently than the original plan. They were originally going to get married under an oak tree but during the time of the ceremony the skies opened up and it POURED for hours. This just goes to show that nothing can stop these two.. friends and family gathered all of the seating and decorations and was able to put it inside the barn on the property. As soon as the ceremony was over of course, the clouds cleared up and it left for some beautiful golden hour sun. We had so much fun taking portraits out in the field of grass with the old buildings and greenhouse in the background. I wasn’t surprised at Ashley’s bravery and adventure in her wedding gown! She was up for almost anything!

P.S. – Ashley is not only stunning..but she’s an AMAZING artist – and she drew the guestbook tree with the cute little bird family… it’s a must see 🙂
