Can there be more beautiful weddings like Alyssa and Conner’s vintage chic day please? Seriously. There was no detail left unfinished, and everything was organized to a smooth T. It was a photographer’s dream! Alyssa and Conner are sweet beyond words.. (no, really, there are no words.. can two people be anymore kind to not only each other but anyone they meet?) they never broke a smile the entire day and their love was contagious all through the evening amongst closest family and friends. Alyssa’s joyfullness could turn the saddest day around in a snap, and her sweet groom Conner is her kindred spirit. Their upbeat personalities and fun/laid-back vibes are so much my favorite couples. This is the kind of relationship we should model after, the real stuff. Their love not only between the two of them and their loved ones,.. but expanded beyond with their love of Christ as individuals and now together as one.. it was sincerely inspiring and refreshing to see! They got engaged at Oklahoma State University, and since they were in school during the wedding planning process we met via FaceTime! Alyssa’s sweet mom met us for coffee and we were all able to have a real-life/virutal-life meeting haha! I immediately loved them and was so excited to be a part of their love story. When we were Facetiming and she said she was into photography and it was one of the most important parts of the day, I knew we’d “click” 😉
Alyssa was getting ready downstairs in the bridal suite at Crystal Springs Events while Conner and his groomsmen were on the top floor. They didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony but they did want to have a first-touch instead of a first-look! We had Alyssa come upstairs with Conner’s back turned away on the other side of the wall. Sweetly done so with a prayer and a few seconds to breathe together before the ceremony (why is it so hard not to cry at weddings?), they truly took in everything.., even though it goes by in a blink of an eye (all of you that have gotten married now how very true this is).. these two didn’t let a single thing get in the way of any passing second. It is so important to let all of the logistics of a wedding day go for a few, take it all in,.. the weather, the smells, the love, the moments.. even for just a few minutes, and have some time to truly experience your own wedding day. <3 I loved that about these two, the real reason we get married in the first place is not about the show, the cake, the flowers, and the drinks..but about love.
Details around every corner from a pie dessert bar, personalized “his and her” tea and lemonade, vintage florals all throughout (even on the cake, SO beautiful!), literary and movie quotes, the “P”’s for Pruitt.. I especially loved the adorable Photo Booth which was so unique with a flower tulle wall. OH AND WAIT TILL YOU SEE THEIR EXIT… no big, they just leave on a helicopter.
I am so so excited to finally get to share some sneaks from their June wedding at Crystal Springs in Magnolia, Texas!

My first time to photograph a helicopter exit. I was pretty nervous, but I’m in love with the results!
