I was so excited when Jillian emailed me earlier this year to do her engagement photos.. with airplanes and a puppy!! I have (okay it’s a little embarrassing to admit) never been on an airplane yet.. I have been wanting to — and it’s happening SOON, I know it, haha. But.. I was so fascinated with being close to them and it was a dream to photograph two beautiful people there. I had known Jillian since high school when we were in band together! It’s always so exciting to me to have met someone at some point in my life — and then I get the opportunity to photograph their love and life. IT BLOWS MY MIND SOMETIMES. Okay, focus.. haha. She was a role model for me as a fellow clarinet player and person 🙂 You two are so cute together and you rocked this session so much!
We started at Jillian’s family’s house on a BEAUTIFUL sunny day this spring and got some fun shots in their sports outfits — and their sweet doggy had a jersey on too! Grant also wanted to incorporate his second love, haha, his car in some of the shots — and I think they turned out awesome! Thanks for trusting me to create your vision for the shoot, I hope it was as much of a dream for you as it was for me! 🙂 We zoomed over to the Anson Aviation where we finished their engagement session in a vintage-inspired airport-hanger. I was pretty much in heaven as soon as I walked in and wanted to do a thousand different things all at the same exact time — but they bared with me and we rocked some cool stuff that I’m super excited to share with you!
I love all the things I get to see and do in my career as a wedding photographer.. all the places my job takes me is so exciting.. thank you to my clients and everyone who keeps me chasing the sun and my dreams!
