Carr Mansion Galveston, Texas Wedding Photography

Words from the bride:

“Casey…..I. AM. OB. SESSED!!!
Thank you so much for your stunning work. I was both crying and laughing through the entire gallery. I am so giddy with joy, and I can’t even bring myself to pick favorites. They are all my favorites!”

We had the honor and pleasure to photograph this sweet intimate wedding of Erin + Derek at The Carr Mansion in Galveston, Texas this winter. As soon as Sarah and I walked in we knew this was going to be a magical day. With vintage mixed modern decor and Erin’s amazing decor taste; it was photographers paradise as soon as we began clicking. There was so many amazing little details from soap favors, their sweet corgi pup made into cookies for every guest, mix-matched candles with antique votives and a hilarious surprise from bride to groom.

I really adored this couple, why? They were so thoughtful to every person attending this day from guest, family, to vendor — when Erin told me while we were communicating her wedding day vision that they wanted a laid-back, intimate, and journalistic type of documentation with “The Office” inspired glances, I knew exactly what to do and was so excited to be able to express that part of my art. Thank you for reminding me this is what I love to do, and for trusting us to deliver your vision — Derek + Erin – your love for each other shines from mountains to ocean and it was a pleasure to spend an amazing evening with y’all.

Oh, and we can’t forget — we got a special invite to their after-wedding party at an Airbnb mansion in Galveston a few blocks away — and things got a little wild + TOO fun…! Thanks for the whisky shots, that sweet heavenly potato dip that I kept going back to all night and need to get the recipe for someday — and for treating us like more than just your photographers but friends. Love you both!

XX,

Casey 🙂
