This sweet girl was always nicknamed ‘blueberry’ by her amazing parents and they wanted to document her special one-year milestone by capturing her as that! I adore this family so much + I was so excited when momma reached out and wanted to plan a creative blueberry session! With a cake from the infamous Cakes by Gina comes around you can’t say no to a little slice of heaven (literally) and I loved getting a little scoop for myself after little baby got hers haha!
Are you wondering how we put together such a creative session like this? Just message me! Momma picked up the balloons from Party City (easily ordered online and ready for delivery or pickup!) with helium so that they would float. We also rented a simple studio in East Downtown to give this session focus on the decoration with a nice natural lighting from the windows and a clean canvas to put our own details to work. The cake was made by Cakes by Gina and she dropped it off at my place and I took it to the session! I’m here to make anything easier for you so never hesitate to ask for help, I got you! They had a wonderful day traveling from out of town to meet me in downtown Houston art-district at a cozy little studio, baby got her ears pierced for her one year before the session + they ended the celebration with delicious carrot cake (dad’s favorite) with cream cheese icing topped with a ton of blueberries! Touches to make this session even more special? Extra blueberries to decorate/accent the cake – the balloons – and incredible custom florals done by their personal florist! Need a florist? I have quite a few floral designer friends in the industry I can refer you to from all types of budgets. Have something special from your childhood or something special in general? Bring it to your session! They brought Dad’s childhood rocking chair to add a unique touch to the session and bring even more meaning into freezing this moment in their girls’ life.
