A few years back I did Maria’s college graduation photos and it was a lasting friendship since then. Her boyfriend (at the time) messaged me shortly after about doing a surprise proposal session! I was so excited.. and it was so hard to contain that secret.. but Maria thought they were doing a normal couple session because she had been wanting to do one for a long time. It was around Easter.. so when Alex got down on one knee and popped the question during the middle of our session, he handed Maria a very important egg. Inside was a note and a beautiful engagement ring!! She was so happy and shocked! I have loved working with them in all of their stages of life thus far.. from Maria’s graduation photos.. engagements.. the proposal.. Alex’s commencement ceremony.. and finally, one of the best days of their lives… their wedding day.
I met them at Hotel Icon on November 29, 2014.. from there we went to the All Saints Catholic Church in the Heights. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The hotel.. the ceremony.. the reception. They partied the rest of the evening at their gorgeous reception at Las Velas. So many friends and family were there to support their love. It never fails that I get teary-eyed at a wedding.. and this was without a doubt one of them! Beautiful moments, sweet dances, romantic candids.. I loved it all. Congratulations you two… I love you both!
Also,.. since it’s the start of the New Year and all… I decided to do some revamping to my business! This is the first blog post with my new logo.. and you’ll start to see a small different in my editing style. I’m truly excited for some change… and SO ready for what’s in store for 2015!
