Chelsea + Bryce | Balmorhea Events Wedding Photography

Chelsea and Bryce got married on a beautiful day this last winter at the magical Balmorhea Events and I’m so excited to finally get it up on the blog tonight!

I loved every detail about this wedding, but especially the gold. Talk about a woman after my own heart, GOLD and GLITTER. My husband saw my eyes light up as soon as I walked into the reception room and saw all the pretties. These colors were amazing and it matched their sweet, playful, and romantic personalities so well.

We got there early in the day and was able to capture so many details and getting ready moments with the extra time. I love having a full day available to get more creative shots and details! There was nothing left unthought of.. every one even had their own cookie!

We love shooting at Balmorhea events. The girls had an entire suite to themselves to get ready in front of beautiful vanities in a white laced bridal room. They had the whole kitchen to themselves too and several snacks and fun personalized cookies to snack on while they were getting pampered and beautified. Flowers from Carters Florist Conroe arrived and we were able to photograph them around the venue and they were CRAZY STUNNING. So elaborate and all over the venue. Chelsea’s bouquet was huge and overflowed so gracefully. The flowers had to have been my favorite part (but the gold glitter is really really close).  The guys got ready in the balcony above and there are so many cool angles and lighting up there for interesting grooms shots. I love some of the emotional behind-the-scenes shots we captured during this wedding. We turned a lot of them into black and white’s to intensify the feeling in those photos.

We had so much fun shooting their intimate couples session during their wedding. Bryce + Chelsea had about 30 minutes to spend with me during the golden hour sun and we were able to capture SO much. The sun setting over the lake on the property is the perfect backdrop with some trees around in the distance, as well as a pretty bridge and lamp post that lights up beautiful for outdoor shots as well.

Then you just walk a short distance to the reception hall where an open bar and amazing buffet and candy/cake and all the pretties awaits! They danced the night away inside and out and exited for the night over family and friends waving colorful ribbons as they ran through their people-tunnel. The couple left on a helicopter as their grand exit and we had a very few seconds to take some snapshots before they jumped on and flew into the sky!

This cute little ring box by The Mrs. Box was the perfect stage for Chelsea’s ring. Chelsea did a first look with her dad instead and it was so sweet! “Cancun”Shots! The beautiful ceremony outdoors in front of the lake is every photographers ceremony-dreams. Look at these adorable ceremony programs! They had this same logo on their personalized guest favor coozie’s. This sign is so sweet! The flower girls had the golden glitter color incorporated in their wedding party, I can’t even with all of the perfect coordinating colors. Talk about planned out to the T! Do you see their adorable flower crowns? My favorite moment to capture during the ceremony is the groom’s look when he see’s his bride for the first time. I do! Big wedding parties used to intimidate me, now I LOVE them — there’s so much you can do with the colors and all of the flowerssss. The gorgeous bride.. These two really knew how to lay on the romance for the camera. Natural models, I think. ON FIRE… Guests can sign in on their last name initial! All of the GOLD! Yes, let’s eat.. the food was super good, too. I think this one was one of my favorite shots of the night. I loved how personalized everything was at their wedding and these champagne glasses with the gold rim incorporated again was just another perfect little detail. We love to play with light during receptions and take more out of the ordinary shots, because you can only have so many of the same people dancing over and over again, why not get a little creative? Guests formed a line outside and danced through the venue and back inside in a dance-line-snake. I had fun chasing everyone around.
His and her strawberries, I MEAN C’MON! Perfection. Us playing with lights, again. Guests had a thank you cookie bag on the way out, my only regret is not picking one up haha! Grand exit! 30 seconds and go!
Up, up, & Away <3.
