Downtown Houston Wedding Photography

Hiiii! I know, it’s been… a year. How do I pick up blogging after I haven’t in a long time? The same way we get back on a bike… so, here I am! Back at it! I have been staying crazy-stupid-busy even during the times of Corona and the chaotic rescheduling of the last years weddings but I am finally starting to catch up and decided to send a blog y’alls way! I am so thankful for my patient, resilient, and go-with-the-tornado clients this year and for all of my amazing vendor friends + teammates that have been so flexible in working with our sweet couples as well! I am still catching up on tons of editing and can’t wait to share so much new work with you all. I thought I would dive in with one of my favorite couples this year who really went through the it with the infamous COVID-wedding-chaos.

After rescheduling because of all that is 2020 + then again their original wedding venue shutting down, wedding changes and disappointments one after the next, and all the things not-so-fun in between; these sweet two did get to finally have the day of their dreams at a gorgeous little venue downtown with their closest friends + family. Their original wedding day was supposed to be at this artistic + classic hotel Downtown Houston… fortunately, even with the hotel closure, the hotel allowed us to take some pre-ceremony formals so they got a little of the best of both worlds with couple portraits here as well! While “lucky” is not the word I would use here due to the unfortunate circumstances after another, there would typically not be this much time or free-space to do so many pictures on their wedding day… so having all of that time to free-roam the entire hotel one rainy day was a delight and I felt so lucky as their photographer to get the chance to capture these intimate moments! It felt like two kids running through an empty hotel and the freedom mixed with the cold, rainy, romantic day made the best mix for their love-art.

I’m happy to say, at the end of everything, they had an amazing, sunny, perfect weather wedding day with the help of all of their vendors pitching in to make it the best day to remember. I can’t wait to share those + all of the amazing-happy details with you as well, but here are some of my favorites from their pre-ceremony session with us at the previously known as Hotel Alessandra in downtown Houston.
