One of my favorite things about wedding photography is being able to tell the full story in pictures. The fresh flowers in the morning, everyone nervous yet excited, peeking out the windows and waiting for their guests to arrive. I love the details.. the jewelry, the rings, the lace, and all of the pretty little things. I love to capture the tears and the emotions and all of the events through the night. When the dances are done, the cake is eaten, the shoes are off, and the bouquet is laying on a table somewhere… it’s all simply about family, friends, and the love my couples have for one another. The stress is over, and everyone can breatheeee and relax… you’re married! It’s done! Now the only thing you will have left to relish back on all of those details and moments are your photos (and video! but that’s a little trickier to get on walls and books,..haha). When you look through your images.. I want to replay all of the memories like your favorite nostalgic smell.
What’s a story without a book? Without prints to show? My most popular wedding package includes this cute 50-page layout coffee table storybook (about 125-150 photos)!
I have always loved looking through old photos and albums. My grandmother recently handed me a box to sort through and put everything in its’ given albums (I haven’t even begun to get that started but IT WILL GET DONE! haha). There are SO many photos. I remember even when I was a kid I would take so many pictures, my grandmother couldn’t keep up with developing them. As soon as she picked up my prints, I had another set of rolls ready to go. Someday.. when we are older… and gone… and our generations after us are looking through that box of photos to sort.. how many of YOUR photos will be there? Will it be discs? Will they even have a disc player? Will there even BE a box to begin with?! While I absolutely love (and wouldn’t think otherwise) to include my digital images on a PASS Gallery for my clients to download, I especially love when I’m able to deliver prints and books alongside those digitals. It’s good to know that my images are not just sitting on a computer drive somewhere… but they’re in print, and when those friends and family come into your home… they can sit down and relish on that beautiful day, in print.
