One of the many things I love about my job as a wedding photographer is not only getting to work with my clients and build life-long friendships, but also the vendors and networking that goes along with it. The biggest (not-so-secret) way to growing in the wedding industry is to chain up with other local vendors to build as not only a business owner but as a strong team all learning and growing for the same reasons. I am honored to call this my job and shoots like this just make me realize how blessed I am.
A few vendors and myself got together to collaborate a bohemian wedding styled session in Chappell Hill, Texas. Chappell Hill Lavender farm so graciously allowed us to use their land for the day. It was pouring rain but we were all determined to go on with the show as planned. The sky’s cleared, the sun came out just in the knick of time, the lavender smell was in the air, and my heart was full and happy to be doing something so amazing with other like-minded people. Everyone did their part, amazingly so, and this beautiful bohemian love and lavender story came to play after many many conversations and planning days. I knew that I wanted an actual couple to model for us to show and captivate the real emotions and love between the two of them. Riley and Julianna were the perfect pair and it shows in these beautiful photos. Kelly with Mementos Events and Design did a wonderful job coordinating and making sure everything went smoothly. Kristi with Brockstar Videos was filming the behind the scenes and clips for each vendor (absolutely cannot wait to see my clip!! I will add it to my website when it is ready). Monica and her husband did an INCREDIBLE job with the flowers. It was jaw dropping how amazing everything came together. This team was marvelous and I grew as a visual artist by getting to work with them and photograph an incredible couple. When I saw Julianna arrive at the venue, I was so excited at how stunning her hair and makeup was from Southern and Adorn. THANK YOU to everyone who went out of their way to collaberate and create this styled wedding. When I left the photo shoot on my drive home, I was overwhelmed how strangers can all come together and create something fantastic. Also a special shout-out to my mother in law who made the chic naked-cake!! She did such a great job!
Riley and Julianna, our beautiful models for the day did a wonderful job from beginning to end. They followed direction wonderfully and were cheerful and upbeat throughout the whole session. It was so obvious how in love they were with each other. Julianna told me that she had Lavender in her wedding as well and that it was their 9 month wedding anniversary the day of the photo shoot! She had her beautiful vintage dress from BHDLN to fit the boho theme. We added a headpiece and some wrist bangles to complete her look. We had a mock dinner setup for the two of them with a handmade DIY naked cake garnished with some flowers. The mock ceremony was a pledge of their love to each other in front of the DIY ribbon backdrop.

We just happened to be taking amazing pictures at the same time! I am so in love because we just get each other. Our souls vibe on this whole other level. We both pretty instantly knew we would spend the rest of our lives together when I was only 16.”
